Feeder Features

1. The stainless steel spinner plate is easily adjusted up or down to accommodate different types and amounts of feed. Adjustments can be made even when the feeder is full. Emptying the feeder is simply done by removing the spinner plate. Adjusting the amount of feed disbursed during a spin cycle can be done by adjusting the timer or by lowering the spinner plate (more feed) or raising the spinner plate (less feed). The Stainless steel spinner plate comes with gate plates that will stop the spinner plate from spinning during high winds.

2. The high performance 12-volt motor has a 5/16” x 6” stainless steel shaft, and spins at 2800 RPM with 10lb of torque, it draws less than 4 amps, which extends the battery life, eliminating the additional cost of a solar panel. The motor enables the feeder to produce an even spread pattern of up to 120 feet in diameter. Larger spread patterns allow more animals and a wider variety of different animals to feed without competing with each other and holds the animals in the area longer. The motor is so efficient that feed does not pile up under the feeder because it starts and stops immediately.

3. A uniquely designed high impact black ABS funnel fits perfectly in the barrel, and extends beneath the feeder. The funnel eliminates feed from collecting and becoming trapped in the feeder, which will eventually mold. The funnel also allows you to refill the feeder at your convenience, leaving no lapse in your feeding program.

4. The rigid 19-gauge steel drum barrel (18 gauge on the 375lb feeders) is made with quality. It is coated inside with a baked-on phenolic epoxy base-coat. The exterior is then painted with a gray rust proof primer, then finished with Sherwin Williams Ennis-green exterior paint to protect it from the suns UV rays, ensuring years of service.

5. The patented design of the feeders keeps animals like squirrels and raccoons away from the feed. Eliminating the additional cost of varmit guards.

6. The heavy-duty latches and all the hardware (nuts, bolts, and washers) are made of rust proof stainless steel. In fact, the washers are rubber coated on one side to insure a tight seal.

7. The plastic battery box is securely mounted inside a heavy duty galvanized frame and is designed to protect all electrical components from making contact with metal, and will assist in keeping them dust free, and clean.

8. All of our components are mounted internally to help shield them from all weather conditions.

9. The superior electronics of this feeder are designed for worry-free and simple operation. The digital timer comes with 6 different feed cycles and will spin from 3 to 59 seconds. Each spin cycle can be programmed independently. The test button has a 4 second delay and will spin for 10 seconds. If you forget, and leave the timer in a program position or any of the feed cycles 1-6 the timer will automatically revert to the clock setting so that the timer will continue to operate normally. The same goes for the run times in the feed cycles. If you were to forget to set the runtime, the timer will automatically run for a minimum of three seconds. The digital timer come fully wired and has a connection terminal for a remote receiver.

10. The galvanized lid is designed to shed water, not hold water. It is held in place by three easy on/off stainless steel latches. The lid is sealed to the barrel with a molded rubber gasket to protect your feed from rain and moisture.

11. Our feeders come complete with a free premium grade 12v rechargeable battery that will last 14-16 months on a single charge. Recharging the battery every 12 months with a proper charger will help extend the life of the battery.

12. A limited lifetime warranty on the motor and a limited 2-year warranty on all other components (rubber gasket, lid clips, and battery have a one year warranty).

Fish Feeder

All Castaway fish feeders come with all the features of the Castaway Features 1-12 Plus.

Castaway Fish feeders come with 3 individual black powder coated legs with attached feet for dock mounting. The high performance motor has a 6” x 5/16” stainless steel shaft that is braced with a special oil light bronze bushing made with impregnated oil allowing the shaft to spin without friction. A specially designed shield on the fish feeder partially covers the spinner plate, giving you an even 160-degree spread pattern and prevents feed from being disbursed on your dock.

125lb Shoreline Fish Feeder

Castaway Shoreline Fish Feeders come complete with 18 gauge black powder coated galvanized steel legs. Each leg is assembled in two sections with a 6” interlocking swage to provide additional strength. The legs are constructed and mounted at the proper angle, so that 2/3 of the feeder is below center of gravity, which maximizes the stability of the feeder. The feeder comes with ground anchors that attach to the legs to enhance stability even further. The high performance motor has a 6” x 5/16” stainless steel shaft that is braced with a special oil light bronze bushing made with impregnated oil allowing the shaft to spin without friction. The specially designed shield partially covers a round spinner plate, giving you an even 160-degree spread pattern.
